Shot peening correction factors for 4140H (Fatigue)

(OP)
Dear Experts,

Does anyone have Fatigue data pertaining to the effect of shot peening of 4140H to induce compressive stresses in order to increase fatigue life.

I have correction factors for machined and as-cast surface finishes for this material.
Are there any correction factors that I can impose for the effects of shot peening?

Any information will be greatly appreciated

Kind Regards
Ed

RE: Shot peening correction factors for 4140H (Fatigue)

In addition to the above reference here are a number of papers that deal with AISI 4140. Tough not specifically pertaining to 4140H there are some good information on the effects of thermal treatments and composition that are applicable in you case.
