Expost Solid Model with Embedded GD&T

(OP)
We utilize CMM (coordinte measuring machine) software that can read a CAD model with embedded GD&T.  What steps must be taken when building and exporting the model in order to assure the connectivity between characteristics, features, datum reference frames, etc...??

RE: Expost Solid Model with Embedded GD&T

Starting with NX 4, you should use the PMI Module for adding GD&T constraints and call-outs to your model.

RE: Expost Solid Model with Embedded GD&T

I think STEP masy support exporting some of this but I'm not sure. Certainly IGES or DXF are unlikely to. Nor am I particularly aware of how such information is supported in other CAD programs. That seemed to be the question which was asked.
