Pneumatic Instrument Book

Pneumatic Instrument Book

Pneumatic Instrument Book

(OP)
I am looking for a GOOD book on pneumatic instrumentation.  Any suggestions?  I would prefer recommendations based on personal experience with the book.  Thank you.

RE: Pneumatic Instrument Book

I just came in from the shop floor.  I showed my techs how to calibrate a pneumatic positioner.  Not something they see too much anymore.  I continue to marvel at how clever some of the mechanisms are that do not depend upon integrated circuits.

I would scan the ISA publications for the pneumatics books. Maybe you'll get lucky.  I doubt if anything new has been written on that lost art in the last 40 years.

RE: Pneumatic Instrument Book

Instrumentation Training Course: Pneumatic Instruments Vol 1.
Published by Howard Sams, 1968, various printings.
4/5 is generic pneumatics, last 1/5 is model specific for Foxboro 40, 58, Honeywell Brown Air-o-line, Fischer & Porter 45, Taylor Fulscope, etc

Out of print, handled by used booksellers

RE: Pneumatic Instrument Book

Yes! that one is excellent.
