Good question, thanks.

I want to run a probe back and forth over the surface of a saw blade and pick up variations within + / - 0.0001" (1/10,000)

Saw blades are from 8" to 22" in diameter.

I can find lots of stuff for wafers and similar but need something much less accurate and much less expensive.

I would like to find a probe and a digital readout with the capability to link to a PC and either a programmable xy table or gantry to handle a saw blade 10" in diameter.

Keyence was by yesterday with a great probe and read out for about $800 but it was accurate to microns and that level of accuracy is a disadvantage in the tool industry.
