Do users have control over the output data?
I'm running out of disk space! Is there any way to get rid of the unwanted outputs?

RE: Output files

You can delete analysis file for models that you don't need. This will save a lot of disk space. However, if you are designing and want to look at results you need to have an analyzed model ready to look at.

You can delete analysis files by going to File --> Delete Analysis files. You can either choose the current model or all analysis files in a folder.

So, I am guessing there is no way to prevent Etabs from writing some of that data in the first place.

Because the trouble is most of the processing time seems to be used for writing those files rather than analyzing the model itself.

RE: Output files

Every time you run the file, ETABS writes the new analysis file.
