Welding procedure qualification for pressure tank.

Welding procedure qualification for pressure tank.

Welding procedure qualification for pressure tank.

(OP)
Dear All,
I have a small question regarding a "En" qualification procedure for pressure tank construction.
Probably it is not the correct place to write but need a help so I try here.

My supplier have some qualification procedures in according to EN 287-1 and EN 15614 for the process 135 (MAG) in some position and I need to understand if we can use to manufacture some pressure tank.

My experience tell me that normally this process is not good to do this job but I'm not able to show it.
I try to learn more regarding this point but I not find any documents regarding this point and also my welding inspector cannot give this answer.
The filler material is an SG-2 with a tensile strength of 550 N/mm2 and Yield strength of 450 N/mm2.
This mechanical property are higher that the property of the material to weld (ASTM A 516 gr.70 or P275NH)
Can someone give me more detail?
Regards.
Marco
