Flipping mate dimension in Animator?

Flipping mate dimension in Animator?

Flipping mate dimension in Animator?

(OP)
Hi

I am trying to make an animation of a rotating part in solidworks animator. I need it to rotate clockwise for some angle, stop, and then rotate counter-clockwise. I am using an angle mate to rotate it but I don't see any way of having it change direction (flipping dimension). I also tried using 2 of the same mates with opposite dimension directions but then I get some warnings and can't make it rotate at all. Is there any way to do this?

Thanks

RE: Flipping mate dimension in Animator?

These are a few of the bugs that have never been fixed within Animator.

To work around this, draw a sketch that will indicate the angle you need to "tag" with your rotated part, and perhaps another line that will indicate your return angle.  It's a hack, but it will deliver what you're looking for with the least amount of hair loss from the Animator bugs (there are many more such bugs, by the way).
