What is the allowable stress in AS 1210 for SA 266 gr 4?
Please advise...

RE: Allowable stress in AS 1210

Design tensile stress listed in Table 3.3.1 (A) as 120 MPa up to 350 C.

Thanks hokie,
That means the Clause 3.3.9 (AMDT 2) does not apply, correct? If it does, then 120 x 4/3.5 = 138 Mpa (equal to ASME II Table D). Is it correct?
cheers,

RE: Allowable stress in AS 1210

I think the amendment applies, but I don't know whether it applies to your component.  The Clause describes where the stress increase applies and where not.

Thanks again,
Aparently the new AS 1210 will see out the 2008;- I heard this however sooo many times, that I'll believe it when I'll see it.
