Rotate along a axis using arrow keys

Hi,

If we use shift + up/down arrow keys, we can rotate the model in the increment of 10 degs.

Does anybody know where can we change this value 10.

For eg. I need to set it to 90deg.

Any tips?

Thanks
C1

RE: Rotate along a axis using arrow keys

Don't know if that can be done. I use the compass instead, position the compass in 3D as wanted and release it in free space, it will return but will U V X instead of X Y Z, indicating user defined, then just click on the letters.

This functinality is available in Solidworks and its very useful. I wish there was a place to control this.

RE: Rotate along a axis using arrow keys

I actually did find a setting for this in R17 Options. Tools>Options>General>Display>Navigation, at the bottom of the page, "Angle value for keyboard rotations." Can be set from 0 to 360 degrees.

Again, depending on which version of Catia you are using. I found this setting in R17 and R18, but not R16.

Cheers,

Mark

RE: Rotate along a axis using arrow keys

Another way to rotate 90° is to turn on "Viewport Snapping", but it doesn't seem to work with the arrow keys.

View + Navigation Mode + Viewport Snapping
