Design an adsorption column for CO2

Design an adsorption column for CO2

Design an adsorption column for CO2

(OP)
Hello,

I would like to design an adsorption column (tower?) for CO2 adsorption and for that, I'm looking for the suitable kind of adsorbant for CO2.

For the moment, I have found some articles speaking about zeolite 13X (?), zeolite 4A (?) and activated carbon, but I didn't found any information about which one is better or their caracteristics and their adsorption isotherms.

Could you help me with more information?
Thanks a lot!

Another question:
What is the diameter of carbon dioxide molecule?
Thanks!

RE: Design an adsorption column for CO2

you can't find a vessel big enough to hold the CO2 in a mole sieve if you need to remove more than a few ppm of CO2.  For bulk, Amines, sulfanes, and such are what the Dr ordered.

You can googlr molecular gate and coconut shell activated carbons for seperating CO2 based on sized.

Get more specific and we can send you in the right direction, Are you looking at CO2 remove in bulk quanities with 95% eff good or are you looking for 99.999% on small ppm quanities?
