Laminated glass panel design at connector

Laminated glass panel design at connector

Laminated glass panel design at connector

(OP)
Are there any design guides or established methods for designing a structural laminated glass panel where supported by connectors drilled through holes in the corners?  One Pilkington web page I found lists minimum edge distances for holes, but I can't find anything really technical on the matter.

Or is this just one of those things subject to manufacturer's tested product data?

Thanks in advance

Go to the mfg

ASTM E1300.  I don't know if it specifically addresses holes drilled in the corner, but it is where you go for glass design.

Thanks.  E1300 is for panels uniformly loaded and continuously supported on 3 or 4 edges.  It explicitly excludes any other type of application.

It actually says along 1, 2, 3, or 4 sides.
Additionally, the tables they give are nothing more than design aids (similar to beam tables in the steel manual).
I don't see anything wrong with using the appropriate allowable stress from E1300 and comparing that with an actual stress for a plate supported at 4 points from Roark.
