Does anyone have experience with using Auqatherm, Germany PP pipe for industrial application? What advantages did it offer in food & beverage industry?

Plastics pipes have design life in excess of 100 years during which they provide excellent performance and trouble free service life. They are corrosion resistant and because of their relatively light weight are easy to handle, transport and install.
Plastics pipes are flexible and fatigue resistant and can withstand repetitive pressure surges. Plastics pipes provide a smooth biological growth free bore through the life of the product eliminating flow restrictions common to other materials."

PP has problems when exposed to UV and will fail.

Downside with food is the sterility factor. PP is butt fusion welded in the larger sizes and this can cause crevices. You cannot steam sterilise as the PP cannot with stand the necessary 140C.

PP can also be socket welded or use electrofusion couplings . Both will result in crevices where bacteria will lurk.

I would use the conventional 316ss in the food industry.
