Is there a way to import a 3D Studio Max (.3DS) file into Solidworks 2008??

RE: 3D Studio Into Solidworks

You'd need to export it as a different file type, if possible. *.3DS doesn't appear to be a supported file extension in SolidWorks.

RE: 3D Studio Into Solidworks

You will probably be dissappointed when you do find a way.
3ds files are heavily faceted surfaces and of little value in a mechanical modeling software other than for reference in rebuilding the geometry.
