SA240 S31803 Sm ?

SA240 S31803 Sm ?

(OP)
Hello ,

I need the SA240 S31803 allowable stresses Sm according to the ASME 8 Div 2 .I don't find it in the ASME 8 div 1 Section 2 (Table 2A in Subpart 1).
How it is possible to have values at temperature?

Thank you

RE: SA240 S31803 Sm ?

See II-D page 438 line 12 of the 2008 Addenda (A08 is a must). Looks as though you're limited to 400°F. It's in Table 5A for VIII Div. 2, not Table 2A.

RE: SA240 S31803 Sm ?

Yar it is duplex material, actually austenitic-ferretic material, and you can easily find the values you need from SECTIO II PART D. All what you will have to do is to pore through number of pages. see pages 389 or like that and then 500 series pages.
