How to Setup Title Blocks or Borders in NX5?

How to Setup Title Blocks or Borders in NX5?

(OP)
I work in a newly formed group. We have been running Solidworks and NX. I have worked mostly in Solidworks and the others are using customer files that do not need our company information. Currently I am needing to do some work in NX and we don't have title blocks for our drawings. Could someone please step me through the best way(s) to setup these title blocks?

I would like to be able to build my part then click new drawing and select the desired format.

RE: How to Setup Title Blocks or Borders in NX5?

Yes you can do that using templates, but NX-5 comes with some examples set up out of the box so to speak.

They run of palletes or .pax files which call up template NX part files. If you search for *.pax in the installation directories then you're likely find these files which you can look at with any simple text editor and work out most of what you need to know from there.

Also search the forum on this because it is an often asked question

Cheers

Hudson
