Search history tree

Hi,

Is there a way to search for a perticular feature in the Specification tree. Like in solidworks, we have a find option that allows us to search using a string, wild char...
Thanks
CADone

RE: Search history tree

Try using the power command field. As example to search for a pad type:  t:pad

Or easier using the search function

Can we customize or assign a key letter for a desired operation? Like p=pad, s=sketch .. etc

RE: Search history tree

Use the Edit>Search command to search for particular features in the Spec. Tree.  You can search for specific Features, parts in a Product, parts based on their colour, etc...  Use the HELP docs for further information.

RE: Search history tree

If you use the search command you can save favourites that can be reused quickly.

The fancy way would be to record macros/scripts and set them up in a toolbar with icons. Record a macro while doing the search and you will have most of the macro done.

RE: Search history tree

Another option would be to
create some favorites in the edit-->search tool with the short names
change tools-->Options-->General-->Search prefix to f: that way you will not need to do the f: bit it will be assumed

RE: Search history tree

M1mason,
I did explore myself a bit with the help of online reference. On the customise dialog box, i am unable to assign a letter for a command.

For example, I want to assign letter F for 'zoom fit to screen'.

Can someboby please tell me how to assign this?

Thanks
C1
