Machine tooling font for SolidWorks

Machine tooling font for SolidWorks

Machine tooling font for SolidWorks

(OP)
I need to be able to save a SolidWorks drawing to Autocad DWG with a zero thickness text font that can be used for tool pathing.
Autocad note text has zero thicness and is able to go strait out to the CNC.
Currently all SolidWorks text must be deleted and replaced with Autocad text.  Is there a SolidWorks text that can go strait to the CNC after being saved as an Autocad DWG?

RE: Machine tooling font for SolidWorks

Use the text mode on the sketch toolbar. You extrude it into the part.
Otherwise you may need to create a .dxf from the drawing.

RE: Machine tooling font for SolidWorks

I have had the best luck with a font called CAMWorks.ttf. I am sure that if you google that you will get a hit. If not let me know I will post it. You just copy the .ttf file into the microsoft font directory (cant remmeber off the top of my head where that is, should be easy to find) then it is just a font selection from the pulldown like any other font. You can even use it in you Word documents if you like!!!

Duh I just noticed that handleman had the same answer that I did...... bad case of premature posting I suppose. I should read the entire thread first.
