Help with Exhaust thrust from a 1900 hp car
(OP)
Looking for a little help on figuring out the thrust produced by the exhuast of a drag car.
Variables:
181 in^3 displacement 4 cyl
turbo charged at 58 psi
9600 rpm redline
Methanol fuel
2300 lb car
rear wheel drive
30" x 5" OD exhaust that comes out behind the front passenger wheel
The team is experiencing drift to the left when the front wheels leave the ground. The cars suspension is set up to deal with torque steer. Just looking for a ballpark figure.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Jack

Even fifty pouds - assuming that is correct could easily throw the vehicle off especially if the front wheels are not touching the ground. Assuming a low profile vehicle - it might be like getting hit by a 40 mph wind or there abouts.
