Several errors - edit dim values, add threads in INVENTOR 2009

Several errors - edit dim values, add threads in INVENTOR 2009

(OP)
Recently, error messages pop up when I am peforming simple taks:
1) cannot change dimension values in sketch
2) cannot add threads when using the HOLE feature options
3) error messages when using certain templates (same templates I have used for 2.5 years)

Attached is a WORD document which shows some of the error messages.  Inventor 2009 was installed in May 2009, and the errors just started Oct 2, 2009.

RE: Several errors - edit dim values, add threads in INVENTOR 2009

1) this is a guess without looking at the actual file but you probably have other constraints that will be violated by placing that dimension. Check your other constraints and see if you have a coincident, horizontal, vertical, etc... constraint that shouldn't be there.

2) If you are using the same templates from IV11 or IV2008 you will have these errors. The thread tables are not set up with the same format as they were in previous releases. You must use the IV2009 table format.

3)  make sure that the templates have all been migrated to the new release.

Thanks for your input.  Please see the following comments:
1) there were only two dimensions for X and Y directions, so no constraint violations
2) and 3) I have been using I2009 for five months w/o a single thread or template problem.

Inventor is running from my company's server, and previous versions are removed once an upgrade is installed.  I would guess migration issues would have occurred during the upgrade and not "out of the blue."

Error messages were eliminated with an uninstall/reinstall procedure.  Thanks again.
