painting abs

(OP)
I'm looking to get painted some small plastic brief case shells. They are vac formed from 3mm ABS sheets.
I was looking into pre colored sheet material but because I want the wide range of colors/effects I'm going for a painting solution.

With painting I'm worried that they will scratch, flake and discolor under UV exposure. Will they? Are there any protective coating that will help?
Any advice much appreciated?

Thanks

RE: painting abs

Automotive paints don't fade much anymore.  Find out what paint manufacturers and auto body shops are using.
