Help using Loft Command
Help using Loft Command
(OP)
I am in need of some help / guidance using the Loft Command. My component I am trying to model is an Eccentric Pipe Reducer. Diameters aren't critical as long as the fitting can actually be modeled in Inventor. I have tried several times and no such luck. If there is another method other then LOFT, I am all ears.
Thank you,
Thank you,

I have attached my ipart of the sketch I am trying to create. From my tutorials, I believe I am suppose to make two sketches offset the distance I want with either a guide rail or centreline. Since this component is "Eccentric" there isn't a true centerline. Any tips would be much appreciated.

RE: Help using Loft Command
You cannot select multiple profiles from a single sketch so you must do in two steps with the second step to cut (or use Shell if uniform thickness. When you have multiple profiles in a single sketch the first pick selects the sketch and the second pick selects the profile. You could also loft as a surface and Thicken to solid.
In the attached right click on the filename and select Extract All. Then open the file and pull the red End of Part marker in the browser history tree down step-by step.
RE: Help using Loft Command
When doing Loft. With other types of features you can select multiple profiles from a single sketch.
