I'm trying to perform a large deflection, non-linear analysis of a rubber part.  The part will be made from silicone rubber.  I'm told the ogden equations are applicable for this exercise.  Unfortunately, I am unable to find the numbers to plug into the equation.  I have contacted a couple of materials suppliers, but they have been unable to assist me.  Does anyone have these numbers so I can at least get a rough idea what's going on?  Natural rubber would even be ok.

I don't have any data for this; but the first things I would do is, if this is commercial FEA software, check the tutorial or example problems; this might give you some idea of typical values. Again, if this is commercial FEA software, there might be a users manual or a theory manual that discusses typical Ogden equation values.

I've checked the software's tutorials and manuals.  I've contacted the software's technical support.  The only place I've found the information is in a couple of standard text books that had Ogden's equation and a couple of numbers.  The problem is that the examples only have 3 alpha and mu numbers, whereas the equations ask for 4.  I'm running the problem tonight (the machine's at work), and I'm hoping for a result.  But, the software tech support people could not tell me if the missing number would cause a problem.

There has got to be some place where somebody has used Ogden's equation to do large displacement of a rubber body.
