Looking for engineering texts on solar installation/design
Looking for engineering texts on solar installation/design
(OP)
Hello,
This is my first post on this forum. I am an electrical engineer currently working in power, and I am considering branching out into solar engineering. I have no experience in this field and I would like to get a good text book on photovoltaic design. Can someone recommend a book for me?
thanks

This site has a very good design section spread over a few pages and lots of related data a misc info with many practical design applications. Including a Stand-Alone Design Manual.

I also have the Spanish government's PV design standard. Its pretty good, as it gives some practical methods for determining shading effects. The Spanish version is available online for free. I have translated that into English (small cost). Drop me an e-mail if you're interested.

I am mechanical engineer not electrical. PVs have great potential and it is definately a mainstreem in green building design.I have been doing research in BIPV systems considering its thermal side for HVAC applications.
