(OP)
Is there anyway that I can get a bar color to be directly associated with the resource that is tasked to that specific task?

Ex.
All of the Gannt chart bars that have Bob associated with it are blue.
All those with Kim are red, Barry is brown etc.

I know I can go in manually and do this, but is there anyway to have Project do it automatically?

Thanks,

RE: Resource bars color coded

yes, but unfortunately I can't remember the method.  I CAN tell you that I googled this once, and found a slick little tutorial of how to do it somewhere on the web.  It involved some simple IF-THEN programming using custom properties & variables.  Not bad at all, once I understood what to do.

Dig a little bit, you'll find it.
