Sisal Rope
Sisal Rope
(OP)
After reviewing some installation drawings for low voltage drawout switchgear the manufacturer indicates wrapping the conductors with sisal rope to help with short circuit current movement. Has anyone done this? Dose anyone have any pictures of this type of installation. I have not seen this in the field yet and am interested to see who is doing this and if it is more common than what I think. Thanks.

But since many electrical projects are done as a design bulid with the emphasis on BUILD, in my experience, it is seldom considered, let alone completed.
