Ground bounce reduction
Ground bounce reduction
(OP)
I'm trying to design a new pulse generator for a UWB radar device. The pulses must have at most a 150ps width at 3-5V. My current design uses a SR diode and the jitter on it is crazy, causing ground bounce. I need a design that will vasily reduce this.
I'm looking at cascode topologies but I can't find anything great for pulse generation applications. Any help?

RE: Ground bounce reduction
Are you running off a switching power supply (bad) or a linear supply (good)?
This article might help:

Once you get through the power supply specifics it gets to some decent analysis on ground bounce.

RE: Ground bounce reduction
You will need to investigate the system topology as a whole. The fact that you are working with radar frequencies a whole level of complexity too. There exist whole EM design concepts for these types of systems that differ from common electronics, so perhaps you need some more learning and research?
