Shear contribution load in ANSYS

Shear contribution load in ANSYS

(OP)
Dear all.
I'm new member. I have a problem and don't know how to do.
I use ANSYS 10.0 to estimate the stress in cutting tool in cutting process. The load comprises of 2 components: normal distribution load and shear distribution load. They both act on an area. The normal load is easy but I don't know how to apply the shear distribution load for the model.
Please give me some advice. I'm looking forward ...
Thank you.

RE: Shear contribution load in ANSYS

Hi,
in a few words, you will probably need "Surface-Effect Elements". Look for these keywords and for, if I remember well, SURF154.

Regards
