Water Resistant Concrete Swimming Pool - Testing Times

Water Resistant Concrete Swimming Pool - Testing Times

Water Resistant Concrete Swimming Pool - Testing Times

(OP)
Does anyone know how long you should wait before water testing an RC concrete pool. The pool is designed to BS8007 so reinforcement controlling the cracks is the only thing that is being used to stop it leaking.

I would like to test as soon as possible so we can "fix" any problems, but I don't know how soon is too soon!

Thanks

RE: Water Resistant Concrete Swimming Pool - Testing Times

8007 has a procedure for testing (Clause 9) but it doesnt state when testing should start. Considering that crack width calcs are based on 28 day strength i would think that testing shouldn't start until the concrete has reached the specified cube strength, which may be a bit earlier than 28 days.
