Blend TTT on model
Blend TTT on model
(OP)
Hello,
First of all, i am using NX 4.0.4.2
I would like to know if is possible to create a Blend tangent to 3 faces. A command similar with the drawing TTT (tangent-tangent-tangent), but in model enviroment, between 3 faces.
What i have done is midsurface comand (or a plane) through the middle surface and intersect. I created 2 blends with Face Blend using that line (result of intersection comand) as tangent curve. The result is a TTT blend but was done in more operations and there is a line visible in the middle (not edge, only a visible line, the end of those 2 connecting blends).
I have attached a picture for better understanding.
Can this be done in one comand only? Or, is there a better way to do it?
Thanks,
Gabi Maiug

Some people are like slinkies....they don't really have a purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

RE: Blend TTT on model
thx for that info. That option exists also in NX4 but the faces I use are drafted in different directions and the middle one is also a drafted cylinder so i am not sure about how the Blend Cross Section law controled R1adius parameters should be.
John,
thx for the reply. I tried to open your file but it seems i cant. What version of NX is it? I am using atm 4.0.4.2
