Existing demister pad adequacy check

Existing demister pad adequacy check

Existing demister pad adequacy check

(OP)
Does anyone know any shortcut calculation to check the adequacy and pressure drop of existing demister pad at higher higher flow rates or do I just need to contact the vendor?

RE: Existing demister pad adequacy check

hello,

1. usually the pressure drop is small, also you can calculate it for the new flow, by the way there is a range of velocities you should be in, in order the demister will perform, may be the new flow is bettwer for the demister performance.
2. if the column diameter is ok so will be the demister.

RE: Existing demister pad adequacy check

There is a definite liquid and velocity loading on any demister pad. I would contact the manufacturer for the specifics on your system.
