Parent/children features in part module

Parent/children features in part module

(OP)
Hey all,

is it possible to deleta a parent feature whitout deleting its children features in part module. I have a lot of features in my model, and if I change or delete one of the, the rest fails to regenerate. Does anybody know a way to avoid this?

Kind regards

Senad

RE: Parent/children features in part module

You can't keep the features but you can save time in recreating them. If you've made a complicated cut or extrusion then save the sketch you've made and then 'add' sketch when you wish to recreate the feature. If you've not previously saved the sketch then use the edit feature, save the sketch, then cancel the procedure and then delete the parent feature you don't want.

Thanks for your answere corus. So this is the best way of doing it. I figured I also can cut the feature I want to delete, but maybe your suggestion is better.

Regards

Senad
