Tank Heating Coil Sizing

Tank Heating Coil Sizing

(OP)
Hi,
Please Let me know how to size a coil?

For Tank:
Dia-160'
Height:42'
Insulation-3"
Ambient Temp:-29 Deg C
Tank Material:Asphalt,
Asphalt Inlet Temp:+148 Deg.C
Asphalt Maintenance Temp:+182 Deg.c
For Coil:
Fluid: Thermal Oil
inlet temp:288 Deg.C
outlet temp:232 Deg.C
Sp. Heat 0.658
Viscosity:0.6 cp

I just need to maintain temp in side the tank.

Can any body tell me the steps to calculate total required surface area of coil?

Thanks

Check out the website for American Heating.  They may have some good info.  They provide heating systems for asphalt tanks.
