does anybody know to assign attributes to a feature using grip
or journal? for manufacturing issues (machining) we like to add tolerance attribute to a hole feature ... or any other ideas?
thx in ad

RE: assign attribute to feature

It is always a question of whether grip can support particular functions. Because grip development was stopped some time ago the newer functions of NX aren't included. I am certain that grip supports part attributes, but feature attributes I cannot be so certain of. Also it depends on how you want to support your tolerance attribute since the GD&T functionality is also a later addition.

You may have a better chance of getting a journal to work for you.

Cheers

RE: assign attribute to feature

You can assign the attribute to the face/surface I think using a process similar to this. You can set a feature name too. I can send an example of that. That might be a C operation. Here is the GRIP I mentioned above.
