Definition of initial stresses ?????

Definition of initial stresses ?????

Definition of initial stresses ?????

(OP)
Hi,

I am modeling a sequence of deck placement in a bridge. I am using concatenated analysis using the RESTART function.  However, I am having some convergence problems.  Therefore, I would like to define each model independent but I need to define the initial stresses corresponding to those obtained at the end of the previous model. Does anybody know how to call these stresses from another standard analysis?

I was checking the subroutine SIGINI, but I have a large number of elements, so I can't define the stresses for each one.

thanks,

RE: Definition of initial stresses ?????

Hi,

Material state may be transferred between analysis by using predefined fields -> other -> initial state.

Regards

Aamir
