(OP)
Just upgraded to 2008, and had a problem with my 3D connexion space navigator.  It will not work properly with Solidworks as an add-in.  I can get it to work by opening the actual .dll file through solidworks.  Does Solidworks have a "start-up" folder that I can manually add this dll file to since it cannot seem to do it itself?

RE: 3D Connexion Add-In

Try repairing the 3D Connexion software install.  You can do this through 'Add/Remove Programs > 3DConnexion 3DXSoftware > Change'.  Select the 'Change' option and click through the dialogs.

I nearly always have to do this after a Solidworks upgrade to get my Space Explorer to work in SW.

RE: 3D Connexion Add-In

^^ Typo -  you need to select the 'Repair' option, not 'Change'...
