Speed up rebuilds with alot of suppresed features

(OP)
I have a model that has about 50 features that are suppressed and I am adding new geometry that is not suppressed. When I rebuild it takes a long time to finish rebuilding. Is their a way to speed this up? I am using SW2008 sp0

RE: Speed up rebuilds with alot of suppresed features

What are your system specs?
Are you working locally or across a network?
Are the features complex?

Rocko,

To follow Jeff's third question you can go to Tools > Feature Statistics.  It will show you the rebuild time in descending order of time for each feature.  Suppressed features have no time.  The stats will tell you how complex your features are by virtue of their rebuild time.  If these times are not excessive then perhaps the other issues Jeff mentions are playing a major role, such as working over a network.

Rocko,

Sometimes you have to suppress the sketch also, it does not always suppress with the feature.
