GRE piping for chlorination service

GRE piping for chlorination service

(OP)
Dear members,

In current project, there is a chlorination diffuser for sea water intake system.
We used GRE (epoxy resin) or GRV (vinylester resin) pipes for intake system depending on size.

However the problem is DN 80 chlorination diffuser.
The manufacturer insists that GRV must be used for chlorination diffuser.

My question is

1. Can GRE instead of GRV be used for chlorination diffuser?
2. If not, why?
3. If so, is there any data to ensure that GRE can be used for chlorination diffuser?

Always thanks in advance.....
