Track Elevations

Track Elevations

(OP)
I'm using AutoCad 3D 2009, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to track the elevations of a surface. I'm able to do it in Land Desktop companion 2009. I just cant seem to find it in Civil 3D 2009. Did they do away with this? Any tips are helpful.

Thank you

RE: Track Elevations

Select your Surface > Rt. Click > Surface Properties > Show tool tips.
Also works for Alignments and other objects.

I have tool tips checked off in Surface properties.  I understand I can see the elevations min & max there.  I was looking for a elevation tracker.  Where you hover the mouse over the surface and it will give a readout of the elevation in the lower left of the screen, where the northing and easting show up. (x,y,z) Could it be anywhere else?  Or is this it?

RE: Track Elevations

Turn Tool tips on and hover... they'll show in a box on screen.
