Insightful Information on Creep Age-Forming?

Insightful Information on Creep Age-Forming?

Insightful Information on Creep Age-Forming?

(OP)

Hello,

I'm looking for information about the Creep Age-Forming process for aluminium alloys, mostly for the aerospatial industry.

I have some info on Age-Forming from the european companies that work on the Airbus program, but very little about how americans deal with this process (just the oppsite of what I expected, btw, in general you americans are much more friendly sharing the info).

Anyway, anything will be very welcome.

Thanks in advance for your help!

RE: Insightful Information on Creep Age-Forming?

I am assuming that you are referring to Alcan Aerospace when you say European Airbus program.  If not, use the following link for more info:

In my opinion, the Alcoa website is quite poor, and therefore it is difficult to provide any simple links like I did with the Alcan website.  I performed a quick search today, and only found some general information (see links below).  You may have better luck if you search longer than I did:

Yep, I obtained a lot of informative docs from ALCAN website about the AGEFORM european project and its implementation in the 380 program.

I took my web browsing skills to my limit looking for something in ALCOA's page and didn't find anything. Thanks for your help, although there's not much technical info, there's info about the trends about the process.
