Can you edit this list?

Can you edit this list?

Can you edit this list?

See where it says Harden R/C 57/59.. I want there to be a selectable list of different hardening levels. Every time I hit "edit list" it just allows me to add a property to the "Property Name" column drop down.

Thanks!

RE: Can you edit this list?

No, that dropdown list cannot be edited.  It will only show SW default property values and any global variables/equations.  If you want a customized dropdown list for properties you will need a custom property editor macro.  There are quite a few floating around.  I don't have a recommendation personally on any of the available ones because I wrote the one that we use, and it's highly specialized for our company.

RE: Can you edit this list?

SW2009 will have a Custom Properties Tab Builder that will allow you to easily do what you wish to do.

For earlier versions of SW you will have to write custom code or get an already written macro program.

RE: Can you edit this list?

Most of the custom property editors available are either "professional" ($) or provided as is for your personal customization.  The one I pulled together is provided as is, but is close enough for many applications: http://sw.fcsuper.com/index.php?name=UpDownload&req=viewdownloaddetails&lid=7

As stated, all this will become unnecessary in 2009 (maybe)...it depends on how easy it is to use the custom property manager across a network.

Thanks for the good stuff. I revised the VB code and made it work for us.

We will be on 09 when it comes out.. we are on 07 right now.

Thanks as usual!

Dang it.. for as sweet as this is, every time I run the macro it opens on my second monitor. I have to drag it back every time.

RE: Can you edit this list?

What video card are you using?  Most cards that support multiple monitors have utilities for managing windows/dialogs/etc.  For our Quadro cards it's called nView Desktop Manager.

^ Thats the one. Nvidia Gforce 3500

I was wrong. Nvidia quaddro FX 3500

RE: Can you edit this list?

You will have to enable Desktop Manager on the nView Properties dialog box.  It is disabled by default.  Click the "Enable" button, then go to the "Windows" tab.  Under "Dialog box repositioning", choose "Move to cursor display".

You may also want to check out the "User Interface" tab, and add the "Full-desktop maximize" and "Next display" title bar buttons.

^ You nailed it. I have everything positioned in the middle of my primary monitor now.

Saweeet!

Thanks much handleman. I have been in there many times but never seen that option.
