Upgade Installation 2008 SP4

(OP)
I know in the past it has been recommended by people here in this forum to install to a different partition if I wanted to keep a previous installation on the same computer and to also copy or move libraries, templates etc. I looked at the SW site and it seems as though you can actually have 2 versions installed in the same partition if you choose the correct install. Does anyone know or have experience with this?

Thanks,

weevoe

weevoe,

You can maintain installations of several different versions on the same partition - you just need to specify unique installation directories during the install.  Make sure you specify unique directories for the executable files and the data that gets installed.

I currently have three versions on my machine, all installed on the same partition.
