SolidWorks Certification Free Voucher again

SolidWorks Certification Free Voucher again

SolidWorks Certification Free Voucher again

(OP)
Anyone interested,
SolidWorks has re-issued their vouchers for one free exam.  This time the promotion is extended through Dec. 31 2008 but you don't actually have to take the exam until July 31 2009.  See the link for details.  Evidently valid subscription service is required.

enjoy!

RE: SolidWorks Certification Free Voucher again

My voucher from last year is actually still good!  I guess I get another full year to procrastinate.  That's cool that we get a free whack at the sheet metal and cosmos certifications too!

Thanks for passing along the news.

RE: SolidWorks Certification Free Voucher again

Thanks for the update! I've been wondering if my voucher was still good.  Like Jobiewan I have more time to procrastinate...... and find some online training.

RE: SolidWorks Certification Free Voucher again

where is the best online training?  Also, if I take the Associate test, will I be able to take the Prof test also?

RE: SolidWorks Certification Free Voucher again

"where is the best online training?"
SolidProfessor or igetit offer excellent training videos.
Your VAR may also offer training.

"Also, if I take the Associate test, will I be able to take the Prof test also?"
Yes.

cheers

RE: SolidWorks Certification Free Voucher again

What you really need is, at least for CSWP, speed of your hand with the mouse. The test is not about how well you know SolidWorks, it is about how quick you are in creating and modifying simple models.

RE: SolidWorks Certification Free Voucher again

So are both of the tests (CSWP, CWSA) taken online or do you have to go somewhere to take them?

Everything is online now.

Supposedly this go-around of the voucher you can only get one free for either CSWA or CSWP.  You can also get one free for either Sheetmetal or Cosmos. For a total of two free, but only one free $100 test and one free $20 test.

RE: SolidWorks Certification Free Voucher again

I wonder if they have changed the format of the CSWP test. The way it is structured it sets up even the most advanced user to fail.

Online tests? awesome I'm gonna have to try this next week when I have some free time. How long do they take?

RE: SolidWorks Certification Free Voucher again

They give you 3 hours.  It took 2:15 to answer the questions, go back and check my answers, then take screenshots of all the questions for future reference.  The SW portion of the test was infantile.  Apparently, interpreting dimensioned isometric views is rather difficult for a lot of people.  That's where most of the complaining has been directed.
