Weatherproof bearings and housing

(OP)
I'm looking for design tips or resources on designing a weatherproof bearing and housing assembly with VERY low starting torque, e.g. wind driven.  Something like an anemometer would need.

Very low rpm, and load involved, all outdoor environments, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Bob P.

RE: Weatherproof bearings and housing

By weatherproof, I am assuming you only speak of atmospheric conditions?  I am not sure of what type of housing it is that you have in mind?  let me know (or send drawings(ACAD)) and perhaps I may be of assistance?  pdavid@oe.fau.edu
