When i import the flat pattern of a part, how can i insert it's thickness in a NOTE without having to add the side view.

If the thickness is within the part's "properties", you can also link to it from the text.
Search for "Link to Property" in SW Help.

Add the dimension you are interested in. The form will look something like this: Thickness@Sheet-Metal2
Insert design table into your drawing from drawing file by right clicking on view you created and inserting the design table. Better than a note.

You can control the thickness through a design table, making it accessible to your note.
You can add the side view, and drag this outside the drawing sheet, where it will not be seen. Add the thickness dimension. Type your note, and click on the thickness dimension.
Why not just add the damn side view? That is what I do!
