Nitrogen and Aluminum in SA 105N

Nitrogen and Aluminum in SA 105N

Nitrogen and Aluminum in SA 105N

(OP)
What is the maximum amount of Nitrogen and Aluminum in SA 105N?

ASME specifications did not give the requirements for these two elements. But the mill certification I received from manufacturer indicated the amount of 0.012% of nitrogen and 0.028& of aluminum in SA 105N. Is this acceptable?

Thanks,

RE: Nitrogen and Aluminum in SA 105N

The aluminium content is within an expected range for fine grain practice, and nitrogen is also within an acceptable range. Also, suggested reading is ASME SA 751.
