US control of interface polymer / metal in overmoulding processes

(OP)
Hi guys,

I would like to control an overmoulding process, and especially the fact that the polymer is well in contact with a metallic can and that there is no air gap between them because of the retractation of the polymer during the process.

I'm thinking of using US sensors.

My first question is: is it possible and is it a well known application?

Where can I found a supplyer for such material?

Is it possible to get a very simple measurement or is it quite complex to set up?

In advance, thank you for your precious help!!!!!!!
