Vent pipe over sewerage drop shaft

Vent pipe over sewerage drop shaft

(OP)
Hi,
We are modelling (CFD) a 750mm sewerage drop shaft and applying stepped flows through the structure to see how the system performs. On top of the structure there is a vent shaft and is 225mm diameter and was constructed in the roof of the chamber housing the entry into the drop shaft. It is circa 6 or 8m in height.
NB: There is no vortex constructed on the shaft.

In high flows (3m3/sec)the suck on this vent pipe is huge and is causing some concern. Is there some recommendation out there for sizing these vent shafts as we have to design up to 5.2m3/sec.

(3m3/sec), 5.2m3/sec
Could you write detail for me?
