LPG Liquid Line Sizing

LPG Liquid Line Sizing

LPG Liquid Line Sizing

(OP)
All:

I am currently working on LPG terminal project. For LPG line sizing, what pressure drop and velocity guidelines should be considered? LPG operating temperature is about-40F

Also I am trying to find out the isolation philosophy to be used for isolating piping and equipments and where an ESDV should be used as oppossed to manual or an automatic XV valve for my P&ID development.

Does API or NFPA address these issues?

Any help or comments would be appreciated.

Regards,
npf

RE: LPG Liquid Line Sizing

Can you be more specific about exactly what type of LPG facility you're designing?

While you're thinking about that, check these,

go here and search "LPG"

CFRs for NGL facilities might help.

nfp58.  Without knowing the whole system, there is no way to tell what you need.  Typically an ESD at the bountries would be called for.
