'Failed to save document'

'Failed to save document'

'Failed to save document'

(OP)
When i try to save my document Mathcad flashed up with an error message saying 'Failed to save document'.  Does anyone know why this is happening? How can I get around it?! Is my document corrupted? (don't say yes)

I have tried:
1) Save as a different file name (& different folder)
2) Copy-paste into new document ('Invalid Clipboard Format"!!!)
3) Restart computer
4) Revert to back-up - SAME PROBLEM!

Thankfully I can open the file so I still have my original work, i just can't save any changes, which lets face it isn't ideal; any help will be lifesaving.

RE: 'Failed to save document'

Bad news.

This happened to me once or twice.  I cut and pasted parts of the corrupted file to a new file saving after each small cut and paste.  I was able to save about 90% of the file so it wasn't too bad because it took only a few minutes to re enter the bad parts.

RE: 'Failed to save document'

There is a "thing" in your document that is preventing the save or copy/clip.  Best do as PNachtwey advised, going through the document 50% at a time.  Each time you copy/clip successfully, go anouther 50%.  If it fails go back 50%.  In no time you will have a good mcd.
