Pump Flowrate

Pump Flowrate

Pump Flowrate

(OP)
Hi all,

got a bit of a problem with a pump.

Data:
liquid handled: hydraulic oil
discharge pressure: 70-80 kp/cm2g
suction pressure: 0-0.1 kp/cm2g
efficency: 75%
speed: 3550rpm
rotation: clockwise
seal type: mechanical
weight: 13kg
frequency: 60Hz
voltage: 440V
Viscosity @ 40degC is 32.5
viscosity @ 100degC is 6.4

is there anyways of calculating pump flowrate from this

thank you

RE: Pump Flowrate

No.

PS: Is the pressure unit kg/sq.cm?

sorry forgot this info:

viscosity units are centistoke and the inlet and outlet pipe diameter is 80mm

thanks

pressure unit is kp/cm squared

RE: Pump Flowrate

If you have the rotation speed and the head developed you can get the flowrate from the pump curve.  Request the curve from the pump supplier.

If you had the power drawn by the motor you could combine this with the pump efficiency and head to calculate the flow, but you would have to get the efficiency off the curve and you might as well get the flow directly off the curve.

I am as confused as Quark about your pressure units. What is a kp?  kg/cm2 is a common pressure unit, but kp/cm2 is one I have not come across.

RE: Pump Flowrate

kilopascal/cm2 is just not possible....
